    • Community Blood Center of the Ozarks will host a blood drive on Tuesday, May 21, from 9:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. in the Tree Conference Rooms at Cox Medical Center Branson.Successful donors will receive a special Bleed Red Springfield Cardinals baseball t-shirt and two tickets to a Springfield Cardinals baseball game.Students 16 and under must get parental permission to donate. All blood types are needed to ensure a reliable supply for patients. A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years of age (16 with parental consent in some states), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 18 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.

  3. Tuesday Talk at Branson Centennial Museum

    • The public is invited to enjoy the next Tuesday Talk, on May 21, 2024, at 12:30 p.m. at the Branson Centennial Museum, 120 South Commercial Street in Historic Downtown Branson. Keith Thurman will share on the topic "The REAL Baldknobbers - Part II."The Tuesday Talk series is presented free-of-charge by the Branson Centennial Museum and White River Valley Historical Society. Various topics of local and historical interest are presented by knowledgeable speakers on the third Tuesday of the month from 12:30 until 1:30 PM. The Museum is in historic Downtown Branson at 120 South Commercial Street, former home of Reish Shoes & Boots.   1. KC Public Works Kids Event

    • The Kimberling City Public Works Department is celebrating National Public Works Week by hosting an event for kids and families on Wednesday, May 22, from noon - 3 p.m. in the City Hall parking lot and Community Center, located at 34 Kimberling Blvd. See Public Works big rigs, learn what they do, receive coloring books, make a paver to be placed in the new park, enjoy free ice cream provided by Funky Twig and free hot dogs provided by Duckees. The event is free and all are welcome.

  1. Hands-Only CPR Class

    • Rotary Club of Hollister and TCAD Ambulance District are partnering to sponsor free Hands-Only CPR Classes. The 1-hour class teaches you how to buy precious time to save a life until trained medical personnel arrive. The classes will be held at the TCAD Ambulance District, 106 Industrial Park Drive, Hollister. A class will be held at 9 a.m. on May 23.   1. KAA Open House

    • Kids Across America (KAA), a Christian sports camp for youth from under-resourced communities, welcomes area residents to tour, learn about and enjoy KAA camps during their annual Open House on Thursday, May 30. The gates open for guided tours at 6 p.m., and guests will enjoy a free, KAA-style BBQ dinner at 6:30 p.m., followed by a short program. Camp officially opens its doors to campers, ranging from ages 10-18, from across the nation June 2 at its camps located on Point 22 of Table Rock Lake in Golden. Each summer, KAA welcomes thousands of campers and their mentors over the course of nine, 5-day sessions. KAA provides a Christian, sports camp experience to youth from under-resourced communities across the nation. Its mission is to build Christian leaders by encouraging, equipping, and empowering urban youth and their mentors through camping and education. The KAA vision is transforming urban youth to impact their communities for Christ. Since KAA opened its gates in 1991, more than 155,000 young people have heard the Gospel at camp.   2. Pull for Heroes

    • Taney County 100 Club will host Pull for Heroes sporting clays benefit shoot on Saturday, June 22, from 8 a.m. - noon at Ozark Shooters Sports Complex, 759 Hwy 65, Walnut Shade.     • The Branson Parks & Recreation Department will host its semi-annual Community Garage Sale at the Branson RecPlex parking lot on Saturday, Sept. 7, from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with vendor set-up beginning at 6:00 a.m. The sale will feature up to 70 booths. Booth spaces are available for a $25 fee and are approximately 18’x18’. Registration is available online or in-person at the Branson RecPlex, located at 1501 Branson Hills Pkwy.
