  3. Free Mammogram Screenings
    • The Cox Medical Center Branson Women's Center is partnering with Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks to offer free mammogram screenings for women.

      This event will take place on May 15 from 3:30-5:30 p.m. at the Cox Medical Center Branson Women's Center in Suite 408.

      Appointments are required. Patients must be at least 40 years old, have gone at least one year since their last mammogram, cannot have any current breast problems and must be uninsured or underinsured.

  3. Hollister Night at Springfield Cardinals
    • Hollister will take over the stands of Hammons Field once again on Friday, May 17 for “Hollister Night” and watch as the Springfield Cardinals take on the Midland Rockhounds. Presented by the Hollister Area Chamber of Commerce, this annual event provides the families of Stone and Taney counties with an affordable, fun evening at the ballpark and a chance for employers to express their appreciation to their employees. Hollister School District will provide musical entertainment throughout the evening beginning with the Tiger Pride Band performing outside the main gate before the game, then the Hollister High School Choir singing the National Anthem, followed by the Hollister Cub Choir performing their 7th Inning Stretch rendition of “Take Me Out To The Ballgame,” and the Hollister Middle School Choir singing “God Bless America.” There will be fireworks after the game.Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at Country Mart (Hollister), Hollister R-V Schools (Central Office), and the Hollister Area Chamber of Commerce office.     • On Saturday, May 18, 2024, at 8 a.m., Ozarks Teen Challenge will host its annual Run for Hope Family 5K at Branson Landing.The Run for Hope 5K is a powerful event because everyone who participates does so with purpose. Attendees run or walk for one of three specific reasons—to support those in recovery, to support loved ones who are battling addiction, or to honor loved ones lost to addiction. Moreover, all proceeds from this event will go directly to our Student Scholarship Fund.     • May 18-24 Is National Safe Boating Week.

      Weather, time, and other elements may affect the readiness of your boat. Boaters are encouraged to make time for a thorough inspection of their boat. The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Marine Operations Troopers make boating safety a priority and are available, at your request, to inspect the required equipment on your boat to make sure you’re in compliance with state law. To help facilitate these inspections, marine operations troopers will be at the following location on Saturday, May 18, 2024:

    • Master Gardeners of the Ozarks presents free Garden Classes in cooperation with the Kimberling Area Library Association. All sessions are the third Wednesday of the month at 10 a.m. in the community room at Kimberling Area Library, 45 Kimberling Blvd. The classes are free and open to everyone as part of community education sponsored jointly by the library and University of Missouri Master Gardeners of the Ozarks.

  1. Fall Community Garage Sale
    • The Branson Parks & Recreation Department will host its semi-annual Community Garage Sale at the Branson RecPlex parking lot on Saturday, Sept. 7, from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with vendor set-up beginning at 6:00 a.m. The sale will feature up to 70 booths. Booth spaces are available for a $25 fee and are approximately 18’x18’. Registration is available online or in-person at the Branson RecPlex, located at 1501 Branson Hills Pkwy.
